If you love world cinema and you haven’t heard of Acquarello, you should. Acquarello’s site Strictly Film School is the source for some of the most erudite reviews of both classic and contemporary world cinema available on the web. So I was delighted to discover that a couple of reviews of Ying Liang’s films freshly posted to the site, following the screenings at Lincoln Center’s On the Edge, New Independent Cinema from China series. I only wish that the other films from the series were covered! Here are the two reviews:
